I am very proud about this project because I got to use my project management skills. I told my teammate that we should create a real campaign, in which we created all the content. So we did, we got a photographer, models, a studio and a cinematographer. We had one day to create all of our content. Then we played with it to create the different pieces (print, social media, outdoor and TV spot.
Suitsupply has launched a dedicated womenswear concept names Suistudio, which stands separate from its menswear line, a series of dedicated womenswear stores for its women's line Suistudio. The dedicated concept store which places female suits in the spotlight. The stores are home to the first collection from the stand-alone label, which was two years in the making.
The brand is practically new so this gives us the opportunity to come up with a new brand strategy from scratch. Fashion brands usually advertise by showing off their multicultural models with cool clothes and it works, their ads have presence because they are very aesthetically pleasing. We however, question if a new brand does what all of the others do, are they even a new brand? We are going for something different, something that has meaning and something that will have a positive effect on the women that see our campaigns. We will not manipulate them, we will inspire them to become their best. We want to help them bring out their most powerful self.
Your Powerful self
The prime objective of this campaign is to reach all of the women who aspire to be successful in the working world. In todays world, originality is everything and these women know that. They are creative, they have their own specific style and they are recognized for standing out. That is where we come in, we will help build an emphasis that the suit is not what makes someone powerful but rather the person that is wearing it.
How will we do it?
Instagram Photo Competition
Our brand influencers will share the details for a competition on their social media accounts. The women who want to participate will upload a picture showing what empowers them with the hashtag #suisempowers and explain it in the caption. Out of all these pictures only 10% will make the cut. Out of this 10% only 3 will win.
The 10% of the images will be shown in Suistudios website, for people to vote for the winner will have to go to our website, this way we will create more traffic on the website and more awareness for the brand.
The winners will get a tailor-made suit and to be a part of Suistudios first advertising campaign.
